A follow up on an interview with author, Violet Fenn.
Read the original interview first below:
What’s changed?
It’s so weird reading back through my answers to the original interview, because in two years (how is it two years already?) everything’s changed but somehow everything’s also still very much the same.
I decided to go fully indie in 2023, and it’s been an absolute game-changer. The first thing I published was a romance series under a pen name, using it as a guinea pig whilst I (re)learned how indie publishing works. Once I was reasonably confident, I started publishing an urban fantasy series under my own name.
To say that The Netherweird Chronicles has made a massive impact on my life would be an understatement. I now earn a living wage purely from writing books, which I honestly never thought would happen. The fifth book in the series came out in May, and the sixth is scheduled for later in the year (speed really is the key to successful indie publishing, and luckily I write fast).
