I am evangelical about Access to Work - it's a brilliant scheme and unlike many parts of the DWP (the government department which administers it), the officers I dealt with as part of the assessment process were fantastic. No tests to see if I was 'disabled enough' like there are for PIP and DLA. They treat disability as a self-reported fact and based on actual symptoms and struggles rather than a person's headline diagnosis and the staff are knowledgable about what is available in the market to help, and what has helped their previous cases. For instance the desk and chair I received were for my back and pelvis pain primarily as I am hypermobile, as well as ADHD.
This is such helpful info - I have passed it on to a couple of people who would really benefit from that kind of support.

At 49 with constant cycles of burnout and having to give up jobs it's becoming more clear to me I may have ADHD. Thanks for the info.
