Love that last question/note. Reminds me of advice I heard back in college when I was studying engineering - men apply to more jobs they're unqualified for than women. Studies have shown that men are more likely to apply for jobs if they have just a couple of the bullet requirements, but women often feel the need to fulfill all the requirements before applying. Just one way women can start valuing themselves more!

Thank you for having me Keris! And SO sorry to hear about the expensive and disappointing breakfast - food that you pay for and that is a bit rubbish is the WORST! ❣️

Loved this interview and those glowing paperweights sound incredible!

I also find myself disappointed with how little I enjoy magazines these days - it used to be so exciting when the new editions of my favourite ones appeared in the newsagents. I find The Gentlewoman is an exception, always lots of great writing in it.

So good to hear someone do well in their work (to the extent there’s money going into various pots) and proud of how they’re doing here on substack. I like to think I’m not far behind, it’s great reassurance. Love the humour too, even got me LOLling😅

And glad to hear you’re at peace with money Keris🙏 so few of us make it there x

I’m intrigued by your student loan story Satya. I had a similar one, but w few years ago I had another look and realised I mostly spent that student loan on rent... and though I castigated myself for some frivolous purchases, in fact going to Student Finance to ‘rort the system’ was the only acceptable way to be seen there by peers. In fact it was a more affluent student who told me such a service existed. He told me to say I couldn’t make rent then I would get the money but they wouldn’t check on me and I could use it ‘for anything’. I remembered trying to find the right blend of frivolous to cover that I did need help with rent. Then I got a third casual job to help with repayments.
